Green & White Winter Wedding at Natirar
Erica & Adam’s wedding was my last wedding of 2022! It’s such a bittersweet event. On the one hand, the year is winding down so we can relax and enjoy the holiday season. On the other hand, it means I will be hibernating and being quite anti-social until wedding season picks up again. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up this great year. Erica and Adam are such a wonderful, joyful couple. From my perspective, they thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the day. If there is one thing you cannot hide in photography, it’s your emotions. With the best of both worlds, intimate moments where they shared vows with one another to a full party to end the night with every friend and family member present, why wouldn’t they look like they’re having the time of their lives?
Winter weddings at Natirar are definitely something special. Because the mansion was originally built as a home, it lends itself to an ultra cozy atmosphere (a very large cozy atmosphere) with its elaborate mantels, and the roaring fire in the great room as the guests enter. A touch of light and warmth, the promise of an upcoming Christmas, without an overwhelming Christmas theme. Touches of greenery vines and evergreens spruced every corner to add extra cheer at the darkest time of year.
Erica and Adam met their freshman year at Lehigh University. Who knew the lasting impact their time there would make on their future! Not only did they graduate with valuable degrees, and promising job opportunities, but they gained a partner for life, which brings us to this most joyous day!
The ceremony was in the main ballroom with all eyes fixed on the stunning green and white floral arch at the center of the room. Hung above were more vines that would later illuminate with the glow of bistro lights for reception! Erica’s brother-in-law married them and every guest in the room was fully present. I don’t think I saw a single cell phone! As they married couple walked back up the aisle, smiling and greeting their guests, we saw nothing but cheerful faces! The smiles and joy of their guests so thrilled to experience all of it. Most of whom, I learned later, were Lehigh Alumni!
As the guests re-entered the ballroom, completely transformed for reception, it was an entirely new experience! The bistro lights were turned on, the candles glowed brightly on different sized and shaped tables. The floral arrangements varied between highs and lows to give depth to the green, gold and white room. Erica and Adam kicked off the party with their choreographed first dance, which was so fun to photograph! Erica laughed the entire way through. I was told, when I toured Lehigh University many years ago, that these students work hard and party hard. And if this party was any testament to that last statement, then I believe it. So many of Erica and Adam’s guests were fellow Lehigh alumni and it was such a fun dance floor!
Congratulations, Erica and Adam! We are so happy for you and thankful that you chose us to be your photographers for your beautiful day!
