You know how they say “never judge a book by its cover?”  Well, the same applies to people!  More specifically, Kristen and Justin!  Kristen is super calm, quiet, and has the sweetest smile. I would have never guessed that she has such an adventurous spirit!  Besides backpacking to countries I’ve never seen (by herself!), Justin proposed to Kristen while they were in Paris, and they will be going on safari in Africa for their honeymoon!

I may not be as adventurous, my pleasures are rather simple…like the colors Kristen chose for her bridesmaids dresses, mixed with seasonal colors for their bouquets!  Kristen said that the blue in her bridesmaids dresses is a color she wears all the time, so she was immediately drawn to it. Each bridesmaid had a slightly different cut, which made it all the more fun!  I really do have simple pleasures!  But it’s not just the colors, it’s reliving the day and seeing Dad for the first time as a bride, and the groom for the first time.  I love all of the firsts taking place, and the joy that it brings!

Kristen and Justin had some pretty memorable moments planned for their wedding.  First of all, Villa Walsh Academy is a beautiful campus, made even more beautiful by the fall colors.  Kristen attended Villa Walsh, and knew she was going to get married in it’s beautiful chapel. After the ceremony, we wandered over to what I call the “Rapunzel Tower” and spent some time with the new Mr. and Mrs. Lambert as the sun went down.  Once we got back to Fiddler’s Elbow, we immediately hit the pizza truck!  And the piece de resistance?  The fireworks at the end of the night.  They were a complete surprise for their guests and absolutely beautiful.  Kristen and Justin headed out to the green to get a closer look, as their guests filed out onto the balcony to watch from a distance.  Truly spectacular.  Thank you, Kristen and Justin for including us in your fantastic day!  Thanks Barbara Wentzel and Kelly Joyce for your awesome help!
