A Virginia Engagement Session in Rolling Hills of Lynchburg
I’ve known Abby’s family for over 17 years, so when Abby and Caleb got engaged over Christmas, I couldn’t wait to take their pictures! Not only are these two avid sports people, (Caleb proposed while they were deer hunting!) they also grew up on farms in New Jersey! Abby grew up a cowgirl, and Caleb a cowboy, so this farm in Lynchburg, VA was the perfect setting for them!
Shortly after their engagement, Abby and Caleb headed back down south to Virginia where they attend school. With their wedding coming up in a few short months, it was going to be difficult to plan their session! Fortunately, my plans to head to Florida for two workshops enticed my entire family to join and we turned the trip into a road trip adventure, allowing us to make a stop in Lynchburg!
Now, coming from NJ and literally escaping the falling snow (and the 24 inches that had accumulated in my driveway), I just assumed that Virginia was already in the midst of spring. I was wrong, of course. It just happened that we stumbled upon the first beautiful day of the year. It was sunny and 64 degrees. And the next day it rained. And then it rained for the following 10 days. When we drove back through Virginia, it was 48 degrees. I could not be more grateful for the timing of this one!
Abby, you are going to make the most beautiful bride and I am so happy for you both! Thank you for allowing me to capture this exciting time in your lives!
