Van Vorst Park

“Tell me about yourself” is such a vague question, which basically results in “I’m me.” At least that’s how I view myself, and I’m sure a whole bunch of people can relate to that one!

However! “Tell me where you grew up. Tell me how you met. What do you enjoy doing?” These are questions that really get me somewhere when talking with my couples! There is so much that they usually don’t find interesting, but the answers are always fascinating!

When Ali mentioned she wanted to take her engagement pictures at this park outside of the town house she grew up in, I couldn’t wait to see it. Little did I know how much this park meant to Ali. She grew up in the square, and her Dad is largely responsible for the beautiful gardens that overflow out of Van Vorst Park today. It is breathtaking. I walked through this park feeling like I was walking through a dream out of Mary Poppins, and that was on a rainy day! I could only imagine what this park looks like when the sun is shining!

As for the answers to my other questions about Ali and Matt. What do they enjoy doing together? Netflix binge, pizza and beer. I told them I’ll be crashing one of those dates, with a bottle of red in place of the beer. I would totally love to be 3rd wheel with these two! They were so much fun to hang out! Just look at them, don’t they look like they know how to have a good time?
