A Summer Wedding at Fiddler’s Elbow

Sometimes we don’t get a chance to do an engagement session, whether it’s because of lack of time or distance. I think Rebecca and David fell into both of those categories, but I was so thrilled that we at least got to meet over coffee in the spring. I got to learn more about them, how they met, they were assigned to a group project while they were students at Penn State, and the minute details of their wedding plans. Two takeaways here. One: Penn State alum are no joke. Two: Rebecca and David love pictures and wanted to make them a priority. Having a couple that is so excited about their pictures is amazing. It’s even more amazing when the ceremony cheats the impending rain, offering instead, amazing dark clouds and then spectacular colors at sunset! Once the new Mr. and Mrs. said their “I dos” they walked right back outside eager to take more pictures with the awesome sky and views that Fiddler’s Elbow has to offer. It wasn’t until the rain drops started to fall that we dashed inside to catch the rest of cocktail hour.

Once the party got underway, we learned so much more about the couple from David’s brother. No one will ever come close to the “Best-Best Man Speech” that I heard 2 years ago, but Daniel’s speech makes a close second! We learned (and I think most of this speech was news to everyone) how old Daniel was when his brother gave him his first drink and how he discovered his brother was seeing someone. Neither of those details are going to be repeated in this blog post. I will say, however, that I had trouble keeping my camera still while I took pictures. There was non-stop dancing, groups of guests eager to get photos with one another and then a quick sparkler exit right outside the dance floor.

Rebecca and David, we loved being part of your wedding day! You are such a fun couple and we wish you the very best!  Thanks, Kelly Joyce for your amazing assistance!
