Sunrise Session at Belvedere Castle
Rachel and Franco are very easy going. So easy going, in fact, that they didn’t even bat an eye when I suggested a sunrise engagement session in Central Park! And they didn’t even complain when it landed on the coldest morning in October! I don’t think any of us realized how cold it was going to be. So, we all showed up in light jackets and sweaters, but by the end of the shoot my fingers were white and we had no feeling in our toes.
Can you tell? Probably not. The coziness in these photos and the love Rachel and Franco share just warm you right up!
Central Park is just massive, so I was thrilled when Rachel recommended we meet on 85th Street. After we met in the early morning hour, the two of them walked us to a patch of very damp, frosted grass. There we had a fabulous view of Belvedere Castle. The sun hadn’t even risen above the line of trees. The castle just glimmered in the sunlight in the background. Picture perfect! Then, as the sun rose, we moved our engagement session to the castle itself, and then we were done by 8:30am! With a whole new day ahead of us!
I am so thrilled to be capturing their wedding day this coming September at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in New Jersey! If they make a cold, early morning look this good, imagine a full day of rest and temperate September weather!
