A Backyard Spring Wedding
I thought, I can’t possibly continue with my plan to post this gorgeous Spring styled shoot when no one can get married right now. Then, I actually really looked at these images. It occurred to me, I MUST post these spring wedding photos? Why? Because a styled shoot is nothing short of an intimate wedding. What could be more inspiring than an intimate spring wedding between two people in love? We all need a glimpse of hope and a future.
Perhaps you were one of those couples who were forced to postpone your wedding. Perhaps you also want to get married on your intended wedding date. And why shouldn’t you?
Now, I am not suggesting you break the law and get a whole bunch of people out of quarantine. What I am saying is that you can still make your wedding day special. I can still pop on a 200mm lens and stay 6 feet away in the open air. You can still make your wedding day memorable.
When I look at these images from this shoot styled by Peony Events, I see so much potential. Owner and Wedding Planner, Stacey Sainato, of Peony Events had a vision of the ultimate, elegant and backyard spring wedding. All we needed were a bride and a groom. Blue Jasmine Floral provided one centerpiece and a bouquet, and the beauty of her creation is monumental!
If you are postponing your wedding I know how frustrating and heartbreaking this time is for you. Just remember, you are still in love. You still have each other. And if you’re quarantined with your fiancé right now, you are in “marriage bootcamp” as one of my brides put it, and that’s SO much harder than real marriage on a daily basis (trust me!)
You’re going to come out of this stronger, bonded, and more beautiful than ever. And at the end of the day, you are going to get married. The only difference is that you’re going to have one hell of a story to tell.

Love this! Beautiful images! Our wedding date was set for May 16 in NJ, and i didn’t think about doing something like this and doing a reception in a few months!
Absolutely! I had a small wedding of just immediate family and I LOVED IT! Have a party later, and you get the benefit of having both a romantic, intimate ceremony and the fun party!
