Engagement Session in Battery Park City

How appropriate that we should take engagement session photos in New York City, where Amy and Sunny’s story began! Three years later, they’re closing their season of life in the city with a new addition to the family. Peyton is their adorable and rambunctious puppy who bounced around for the first 30 minutes of our session. He is all tongue and absolutely lovable! I have to say, starting your session with a puppy can be difficult. Especially when you’re also attempting to take instruction to look great in photos at the very start of the session. Amy and Sunny couldn’t help but smile and laugh at Peyton, though. He’s so full of life!

After Peyton went home with Amy’s Mom (always a must to have help with dogs!) we slowed down our pace to take in the beautiful views. Amy and Sunny had their past and future all in one session. With their last days as NYC dwellers, heading over to the Jersey side of the Hudson a few weeks later!

Engaged in India

Amy and Sunny have a fairytale engagement story, and I so wish I was there to see it! I’m thrilled to say that their wedding is going to be just as beautiful!

“Sunny surprised me with a fancy hotel stay in Udaipur, India which is a beautiful city of lakes in the north. We stayed at the Summer Palace, a palace in the middle of a lake converted to a hotel – the Taj Lake Palace Hotel. Once he surprised me with the hotel I thought he might propose, but he didn’t propose our first day / night there. The second day we took a sunset boat tour, still no proposal! He surprised me with a private dinner on the rooftop terrace! A hotel person asked if we wanted our photo taken. They led us to the rooftop where there was a ‘better view with the full moon that night.’ There was a beautiful set up for dinner with flowers and candles lining the aisle to the table. We had appetizers and then when I thought the main course was coming out, the waiter brought the ring! It was on a bed of flower petals under a chaffing dish. Sparklers went off and Sunny got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!”
