Steff and Evan are college sweethearts who met at a frat party at Penn State. While she thought she was interacting with a very tall handsome college student, she only had half the truth. Evan happened to be standing on a milk crate behind the bar, but his handsome looks remain. In all honesty, Steff and Evan fit perfectly together. For Evan it was love at first sight and he pursued Steff until she finally said “yes” to a date. I think this post tells the rest of that story! This persistence and devotion to never giving up was definitely a big theme in the way Evan’s loved ones described him. During the toasts, it was fun hearing the about Steff and Evan from their sisters. Both sisters were the Maid of Honor and Best Woman (for Evan), and why not? There is no one else they would have directly by their side during the most important day of their lives.

When I first met Steff and Evan, I could see immediately how much Evan adores her. Our very first meeting at sunrise in Central Park, Evan doted on Steff, smiled at her nonstop and followed her lead. It doesn’t surprise me that he even made sure she was dressed beautifully for his planned proposal. With a story about going to dinner with his boss, Steff was dressed impeccably and had no idea!

The wedding day was perfect. It wasn’t the original date, of course. This was our last postponed wedding due to the virus that shall not be named. It was worth the wait! The weather was beautiful and the colors were stunning! Steff was a trooper in the brisk breeze, and had a fluffy blanket wrapped around her in the golf cart as we toured Edgewood Country Club’s scenic golf course. The ceremony was planned for indoors so Steff and Evan, along with all their guests got a little reprieve from the wind for a beautiful and comfortable ceremony that intertwined their Jewish and Catholic heritage. As the sun set behind the hills, we ran outside to catch the last of its rays. From there, Steff and Evan greeted their guests at cocktail hour. From the moment they were introduced into their reception, Steff and Evan danced the night away. To end the night, we stole them away for pictures at Edgewood’s famous bar and then had a sweet moment (pun intended) with ice cream! Instead of a cake, Steff and Evan incorporated their love of ice cream and Penn State. Ice cream from Penn State Creamery to share with their guests.

Congratulations, Steff and Evan! We loved celebrating with you and your family!
