Kim and Evan are two of the most thoughtful people I have ever met, and I am so excited to introduce them as husband and wife! Their Labor Day weekend wedding was nothing short of beautiful, classic and joyful.

I first met Kim and Evan in Central Park for their engagement session last year. We met at Tavern on the Green, a favorite of Kim’s and also the place where they dined the day Evan proposed in 2021. We toured Central Park, taking pictures in some of my favorite locations while they too shared some of their favorite places in the park. Kim giggled through the session, and Evan confidently pulled her into his arms, making every picture look as natural as the two of them are together. When Kim mentioned they wanted to do another session down the shore, since they were torn between the locations, I was looking forward to spending more time with them again! Their beach session included Kim’s family and quality time with her family over hamburgers that night.

Needless to say, I was looking forward to this wedding weekend, and the weather cooperated beautifully. I knew from spending time with Kim and Evan that they are naturally gracious hosts, so it was no surprise to me that their wedding would be equally welcoming. Kim and Evan are always thinking of others, and they planned their wedding in a way that made all their guests comfortable and excited to share this day with them. When their guests first arrived at Fiddler’s Elbow for the ceremony, they were greeted by the Roving Bar’s mobile bar, with cold champagne, rosé, lemonade and iced tea before being escorted to their seats overlooking Fiddler’s Elbow’s golf course.

Kim and Evan decided they wanted to wait to see each other until the ceremony. They had written their own vows, and extended their cocktail hour in order to allow time for pictures afterward. While sometimes this can feel a little stressful with the limited time, and the gravitational pull towards friends and family, Kim and Evan fully embraced the alone time they had with one another (and us as their photographers!) while we took their pictures at golden hour. With their drink of choice in hand, we casually traced a path around Fiddler’s Elbow’s estate house capturing beautiful portraits in some of their favorite locations that drew them to this beautiful estate for their wedding from the start.

On their way to join the remainder of cocktail hour, Fiddler’s Elbow had a champagne tower set up and waiting for them overlooking the rolling hills below. The sun had just set behind the trees and the glow it created was magical. Kim and Evan poured bottles of Veuve Clicquot flowing over glasses that they would share with their family and friends.

As they were introduced into reception as husband and wife, they immediately fell into a wonderfully choreographed dance that gave Dancing with the Stars a run for their money. The twirls, dips and lifts were perfect and had them both laughing together. A photographer’s dream!

Kim and Evan’s kind nature was echoed by Kim’s maid of honor, Sarah, who shared stories about her best friend and Evan’s history that left lasting impressions on all those who know and love them. We ended our night by sneaking Kim and Evan out for a quick bite of pizza from their pizza truck before they ran back in to enjoy their last wedding song!

Congratulations again, Kim and Evan! It was a beautiful wedding for two beautiful souls and we are so blessed to have been a small part of it!
