Farewell Winter, Welcome Spring!
The last week in April definitely seems like a good time to review our 2019 winter season, don’t you think?
I’ll be the first to admit that as soon as I stopped working over the holiday, I had a difficult time getting back into my daily work routine! I had plans to blog our trip to Charleston, SC, create educational posts, and start a new photo course!
I didn’t do any of those things.
The rest and relaxation in the new year gave me quality time with the “beasties” (my kids), my husband, personal reflection, and some exciting plans for 2019.
People who know me well know that I love winter. I love wearing layers, drinking hot beverages, watching the snow fall with a glowing fire, and cozying up to a good book…series…Outlander (one day I’ll finish this series!)
This past winter though, we were so much more active!
We celebrated the New Year at Middleton Place in South Carolina, with a bed full of gourmet cheese and charcuterie while we all watched the ball drop. I launched a partnership with Beauty on Location NJ for Boudoir photography, my sister-in-law visited for the first time in 3 YEARS, I photographed 2 uber-romantic winter weddings, and took the beasts skiing for the first time in Salt Lake City! Whew!
Below are some of my favorite pictures from our trip to South Carolina in January and Deer Valley, Utah in March. I had never been to either place, and I 100% plan to visit them both again!
If that was my relaxing winter, what does Spring really have in store for me?!The only standing remains of Middleton Place.
Middleton Place, you know how much we love fire! We had a fire going every night in our little cabin!
So, we left Charleston behind in January, and just as we started seeing the Spring thaw, we left for more winter in Salt Lake City!
Now, I’m definitely ready for a warm spring!
