Scenic Views and Comfort Foods
The art of wedding planning, because that’s really what it is, shouldn’t be vague. Every wedding is different, because the two people you’re celebrating are unique! Their wedding details and every other component should be unique as well, and Ali and Josh definitely added their personal taste (pun intended) to every aspect of their wedding.
From the first time I discussed possible locations for their engagement session, Ali said she and Josh loved scenic views and goats. Goats were a little harder to come by, so we settled for the scenic views of Warwick, NY accompanied by pizza and ice cream. That engagement session would prove to set the scene for their wedding, and give me insight into what exactly would be displayed in their wedding details.
The pizza. Can we talk about how classy they made pizza look? Don’t believe me? Scroll down to find Ali and Josh’s pizza icon wax seals on their invitation suite! The guests even took home pizza shaped cookies as their wedding favors. This wasn’t the only take away from their engagement session. Ali’s Mom was so thrilled to share the bobble head she had created for them, a pose taken directly from one of their engagement session photos! I absolutely love it! I paired the bobble head with it’s inspired image!
The most impressive thing about all of these fun details is that they made everything look high end! Pizza and bobble heads. Just take a look! With the help of Twisted Willow’s inspiration floral design, these details fit right in and looked stunning.
Ali and Josh chose to see each other before the ceremony with a first look at Natirar’s gates, and they had some glorious glow as the sun was quickly going down. In between portraits indoors and outdoors, Ali was starving, and there would be no food for about two more hours. Oh, pizza where are you?! Barb and I always keep several Snickers on us to keep hanger at bay, and Barb offered one to Ali and she was thrilled. Her bridesmaids, however, were freaking out a little. White dress and snickers.
The wedding ceremony began just as the sun dipped behind the trees and Ali and Josh are officially married! I love when couples decide to do a first look, because after your ceremony, it’s party time! Ali and Josh throw a great party! The band had all their guests on the dance floor as the newlyweds were introduced into reception, right into the circle of all their dancing family and friends! The party continued on and on. I think I have permanent smile lines on my face from laughing so much.
Ali and Josh, thank you for making us part of your wonderful wedding. We loved celebrating, dancing and snacking with you! Have a wonderful time on your honeymoon, escaping the cold! Thank you to Barbara Wentzel and Maggie DiVirgilio for your amazing assistance as usual!
