New Year’s Eve Wedding at Natirar
Typically my New Year’s Eve consists of my little family asleep on the couch (and floor). That leaves me to toast myself at the start of the new year. We’re not what you call “party animals,” although sometimes my kids are in fact just animals. I digress. So, when Lauren contacted me about her New Year’s Eve wedding at Natirar, I was totally on board! What fun! A wedding and party to ring in 2020?! And it absolutely lived up to every expectation.
I first met Lauren at a our Boudoir Launch Party at Beauty on Location’s studio, and we chatted about everything she was planning for her wedding, how they decided on a New Year’s Eve wedding at Natirar, and if she could buy the table numbers made by one of my super talented past brides, Ali! Ali had in fact sold her table numbers, but kindly sent an in depth instructional on how to make them! Pictures of these gold plexi table numbers and other amazing DIY signs can be found on Ali & Matt’s wedding blog. Lauren instead found Jessican Giovine of The Jess Press and she did a fabulous job tying in the glitter and gold details that made up the wedding day decor.
Now, to introduce Lucas to you, I really think you would have to read Lauren & Lucas’ wedding website, and the brilliance behind the “How we met” and wedding party bios. Sadly, they’re website is no longer live because they are married! However, I was able to salvage their story, and am pasting it verbatim, because I do not have the brilliance to summarize.
Lauren & Lucas story
On a cold wintery night, Ms. Lauren Weaver, who was part of an all women’s workout group “New You”, walked into the gym for her last and final class of the program. She arrived a little early. As Lauren was stretching and chit chatting with some of her new girlfriends, the most unexpected thing happened. A striking man walked in the front door, well dressed, gorgeous and perfectly sculpted. The room immediately got quiet as all the ladies in the group started to stare in awe and their mouths slowly dropped. It was like a scene from a movie. Lauren’s heart was beating fast, as she said to herself, “omg I must have that man, I must have that body”.
This was a new feeling for Lauren. It made her feel warm and fuzzy, and a little “bad” all at the same time. Completely out of character, Lauren let her feelings of lust take control of her actions and she walked up to the man, whose shirt read “Head Coach” and said, “Hi, I’m Miss Lauren Weaver, and I’m enamored by you”.
The man, caught off guard, replied back, “Thank you” and continued to begin his class. During the class, the man couldn’t focus on the task at hand. Not after he had received this wonderful compliment. He was now beginning to look at the girl in a different light. She was wearing all black with a neon hot pink bra strap that peaked out ever so slightly. In his eyes, the girl knew exactly what she was doing. The class continued and the man walked up to the girl and reached his hand out for a shake. While grasping each other’s hands the man said, “by the way, I’m Mr. Lucas Cittone and I too am enamored by you”.
“Would you like to join me for dinner at South+Pine?”
Lauren was now blushing bright red. She looked over her right shoulder where her friends were standing, nodding yes emphatically. She turned to the man and replied, “yes, I would love to dine with you.”
So there it is, the start of something magical, both wearing tights the two embarked on their journey to South+Pine and the rest is history…..
