A Chic Natirar Wedding

There are some very fortunate people in the world who know exactly what they want and will take action to be sure it does. That is how I would describe Anne. Before Mike even popped the question, Anne knew he was the one. Way back in 2019, Anne contacted me about her Natirar wedding, even though she wasn’t technically engaged yet. She even booked Natirar before the official proposal! Of course, that’s when Anne and Mike intended on a 2020 wedding. Although the date didn’t quite work out the way they intended, we patiently waited one year and these two are finally married. In fact, they married twice in 24 hours!

Anne’s church means a lot to her. She attends mass weekly with her beloved Grandmother, and could not imagine getting married without Father Owen there to marry her and Mike. So, instead of a rehearsal the night before their wedding day – they had an intimate ceremony at St. Luke’s Parish right outside the church. With a total of 15 people in attendance, they got married with the rolling hills of Long Valley as their backdrop. I came to photograph this beautiful ceremony and then we were off to Christie Hoffman Park – where we photographed their engagement session two years ago – to catch the last of the sunset. I dropped them off at the Tewksbury Inn to enjoy their rehearsal dinner with anticipation of what the following day would bring.

The wedding day brought another gorgeous day. Anne had all of her details ready for me in a little box – complete with his and her cologne – and sentimental pieces belonging to Grandma. Anne loves fashion – a trait she inherited from her Grandmother – and just about every decision she made for the day complimented her vision and style. She even made sure that the colors and florals enhanced the already existent beauty of Natirar itself. Not only was the display important to Anne and Mike, but the presence and participation of their energetic 100 pound lab, Bruce.

Just before the ceremony, Bruce arrived with excitement as he jumped up to kiss Mom and Dad before walking himself (and the dog walker) down the aisle. It was so cute to see him sitting peacefully next to the groomsmen and jumping up at attention as soon as Father Owen acknowledged him during the ceremony.

After their ceremony, which Father Owen conducted as a renewal of the vows they had made the evening before, it was off to catch the sun setting over the hills of Natirar Park. Cocktail hour was enjoyed outside during twilight with a comfortable breeze and mid-60s weather. Absolutely perfect!

Anne and Mike were introduced into reception and stunned all their guests with their amazing dance skills – well, perhaps everyone except anyone who knew Anne had been dancing all her life. She even had a fun choreographed dance with her Dad!

We ended the night with cake and a fun photo shoot in the green room with Anne’s late night bridal jumpsuit, before saying our goodbyes to the newlyweds!

Anne and Mike, thank you so much for having us their to capture your fabulous wedding weekend! We are so happy for you!
