Married At Last, Again
Building a relationship is hard work. Those early days of finding the right person to start life’s journey with. It’s hard work, but at some point in the relationship building process, the pieces just fall into place. Conversation comes easily, a foundation of trust is built and you share milestones together. I could be talking about Tara and Andrew, or any other couple who falls in love and decide to marry. But, I’m also talking about relationships in general. My relationship with my couples follows this same pattern, and it’s what drives me to do what I do. I love getting to know my couples and share their most cherished moments.
When Tara and Andrew got engaged, Tara messaged me on instagram and told me she had been following me for some time. She was planning her wedding and wanted to work with me. When the pandemic derailed their original wedding plans, I was able to capture their intimate church wedding. When Tara and Andrew introduced their new puppy to their family, I captured those pictures as well. In these unexpected times, with constant changing of plans, we built a relationship that is truly meaningful, and I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. But now we get to their dream wedding that was destined three different wedding dates ago. It didn’t all go as planned. Not even a little bit. But it was beautiful, and honestly, I am grateful that I got the extra time. The time in between helped build that relationship and gave me a chance to watch their wedding journey unfold over a couple of years. Tara even got to marry her husband twice!
Tara and Andrew’s early spring wedding was perfectly timed with the weather warming up and little hints of spring popping up around Fiddler’s Elbow. With the church wedding officiated 18 months ago, it was a quick vow renewal outdoors overlooking the golf course and a fun party with all of their family and friends. Sometimes the wedding day feels like the end of our journey, but I know that’s not true. It’s a lifetime of memories and just the beginning of their lifelong journey together.
Congratulations, Tara and Andrew on finally getting to celebrate your dream wedding! We are so happy we got to be part of every moment!
