Summer Arrives Early at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club

I love Emily and Joe’s story. They didn’t meet on an app, they didn’t meet in a bar. Joe worked for Emily’s father, who told him that he had “a nice daughter.” The rest is history. I think “nice daughter” is an understatement. Emily is truly one of the most kind and authentic people I have ever met! She has such a caring heart. When I asked her about her wedding planning process, she said that she tried to incorporate all her guests in some form of the planning, that would make them feel welcomed and special at her wedding!

The wedding day was timeless and classic. From the Rolls Royce to the historic chapel, and the soft pink accents. My favorite modern flare has to be the Metro Photo Bus! This retro bus photo booth is so much fun! Parked right outside the ballroom, this photo booth had guests buzzing all cocktail hour and reception.

Everything about this day was beautiful and gorgeous. It was unseasonably warm, but as I told Emily and Joe, while they were melting a little, heat creates gorgeous haze that really brings landscapes to life! You can see this particularly during the portraits overlooking the golf course. The portraits before cocktail hour, and more particularly the portraits during golden hour. Add in a beautiful bride and a head over heels groom and it’s the perfect recipe for stunning wedding portraits.

I think my favorite part of the day was seeing Emily and Joe’s excitement about getting on a golf cart. Emily had never been on one, and it was like seeing two kids get on an amusement park ride! We drove them around to find the perfect bit of shade and to capture Fiddler’s Elbow in the background.

We ended the night with a sparkler send off and a lively dance party!
