I am so excited to share Kristin and Rob’s beautiful fall wedding at Hamilton Farm! I have worked with Kristin for years – a very talented makeup artist – our paths cross every wedding season. When she reached out about her wedding, I was so thrilled to be part of her day! I consistently tell my brides that you only get to be a professional bride once in your life. It’s not often that you get to spend as much time as we do at weddings. However, Kristin and I have definitely seen our fair share of weddings. Large, small, city weddings, country weddings, spring weddings, winter weddings, you name it! We have seen it all! With as much knowledge as Kristin has from her experience in the industry, I knew her wedding was going to be perfect, and I was not wrong!

To say that I was impressed with Kristin’s commitment to pearls is an understatement. Elegant, not overdone and a consistent theme throughout the wedding day, the timeless pearls made their way into subtle elements of Kristin’s apparel and decor. First, we had the veil with the pearls that clustered around the comb and then trailed off down the length of the train. This was one of my favorite details! This plus the pearls on the wedding cake, the cake pops for the taking as their guests as favors and of course, her “Wife of the Party” jean jacket that was perfect for the brisk fall evening!

We started our morning at Kristin’s house where she got ready with her Mom, sister and 13 year old french bulldog, Dunkin. While Dunkin would not be part of the wedding day beyond getting ready, he boasted a gentlemanly bowtie for the morning as he devoured his new chew toy – a stuffed bottle of Veuve Cliquot.

While Kristin has a moderately small family – her sister and sweet nephew Tommy who were an immense help getting us ready before the church, Rob has an enormous family. I believe there were 20 some nieces and nephews and 6 great-nieces and nephews! Rob is the youngest with 5 sisters ahead of him. I asked him how old he was when his first sister got married. He was four years old. He has been in quite a few weddings himself as well! While he only had two groomsmen – his closest friends – he has been a groomsman quite a few times. How many times? I asked. He asked me if I had ever seen the movie “27 Dresses.” I was too busy laughing to ask the more important question. Has Rob seen “27 Dresses??”

If he has taken the time to watch this classic chick flick, I am impressed, but either way, Kristin is a lucky girl. Rob loves Kristin. You can tell in the way he looks at her. They are so sweet together. We arrived at Hamilton Farm at the perfect peak golden hour and their portraits are stunning! Before guests arrived for cocktail hour, Kristin had a quick wardrobe change. Her hair went up, her train bustled and she wore the cutest feather shrug that was perfect for a chilly fall cocktail hour in the garden. As the sun set, the lanterns glowed over the garden courtyard. The timing for the entire day was perfect.

The introductions into reception kick started the active dance floor and just after dinner, the guests were surprised by an impressive display of fireworks out back! This was such a treat for us as well! I love fireworks! It was the perfect way to end our night!

Kristin and Rob, we are so happy for you! It was such an honor to be part of your beautiful wedding day! Every part of your wedding was a dream. I hope that you are having the best time in Maui!
