A Whimsical Wedding Day at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club
Alex and Brian have waited a long time for this day to come. Between the pandemic, graduating med school and moving states, the day seemed like it would never come! And here we are, 1200+ days after their engagement, wedding day accomplished!
When Alex and Brian chose Fiddler’s Elbow for their wedding venue, they were immediately attracted to its old English manor house feel, surrounded by lush gardens. At the time, they were living in Boston and it was more like a destination wedding! Two years of postponing later, their life looks very different and they ended up moving only 10 minutes away from their wedding venue.
The wedding day decor and florals leaned into the lush gardens that were in full bloom for mid-July. Pinks, purples, whites, even a butterfly in Alex’s bouquet echoed the butterflies surrounding her in the garden in front of Fiddler’s Elbow after the rain passed.
Alex and Brian decided that it was important to them to wait to see each other until they were under the chuppah for their ceremony. They each signed their Ketubah apart with the Rabbi, and shared notes with each other before the ceremony began. Once they were married, the rain cleared and we were able to take their pictures in the gardens that they so loved when they decided to get married at Fiddler’s Elbow to begin with. The day was beautiful, albeit warm. Alex had a few wardrobe changes, all gorgeous, but more importantly, allowed her to change up her dress!
After being introduced into their reception for the first time as husband and wife, they began their first dance, beautifully choreographed, with a misty dance floor, making it look like they were floating on air. We were able to sneak them out for a few sunset portraits before each one of their parents made loving remarks about the couple – which I loved. The rest of the night was dancing, sparklers, laughter and fun as they danced the night away, finally as husband and wife.
Alex and Brian, we loved celebrating with you! I am so happy that this day has finally come and you get to live your happily ever after!
