A Woohoo Wedding Day
Danielle and Nick are married! This seems a bit of a shock only because when I first spoke with Danielle back in 2017, her wedding day seemed so far away! She was my first booking for 2019, and somehow the day has already come and gone! It sure left it’s mark though!
How can I describe the wedding day? “Woohoo!” seems appropriate. From the moment I entered the bridal suite at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, I was greeted by cheerful faces and ready-to-party music! The room was buzzing with excitement and bridesmaids eager to help me set up bridesmaids dresses, and clear the room. Amazing. From the first “woohoo!” champagne toast in robes to the last “woohoo” on the dance floor, the energy lasted all day long!
To my surprise, the fun and energy carried over into their Catholic ceremony, where a friend of theirs married them. I’ve seen many couples married by their friends, but to have a priest who is also a friend? That’s was a first! Their priest had the entire congregation in stitches with his stories about meeting on LBI and getting to know one another. I have to say, some of my favorite candids from this wedding are from the ceremony, itself!
Once Danielle and Nick said “I do” and exited the church, it was off to Fiddler’s Elbow for pictures with their amazing Bentley (with the right handed steering wheel) and more “woohoos” with their wedding party. By this time in the day, the wedding party was waiting for the next moment when they could make some noise and have a great time during their portraits, (and literally asked if it was another “woohoo” moment!) and they are some of my favorite wedding party pictures of all time! What a fun crew!
We ended Danielle and Nick’s portrait session with a veil that flew off for good, and drinks as they made their way back to their cocktail hour. That was not the end of the veil’s story, though. Scroll down to find out how Danielle made good use out of her veil on the dance floor at the end of the night!
Congratulations, Danielle and Nick! We had so much fun with you and your friends and family and wish you the most joyful future together! Thank you Barbara Wentzel for being an awesome side-kick and sharing your talent!
