Spring Lake Engagement Session
Lauren & Jeff got engaged in Aruba in front of the flamingos on Flamingo Island. While I was, unfortunately, not there to witness this spectacular moment in their lives, I could at least take their engagement photos in one of their favorite places! Spring Lake is second best to Aruba, in my humble opinion! The beautiful lake and cute bridges make this location very special. Also, the beach is two blocks away, so could at least pretend we were in Aruba, right?
Engagement sessions are one of my favorite parts of the wedding experience. Not only do I get to spend lots of quality time with my couples, but I really feel like they get to spend lots of quality time with each other. Especially in quarantine, there’s a lot of day in and day out routines that are easy to get stuck in. And while I am basically ordering couples about (in the best way possible, I hope!) there is a lot of closeness and giggles shared between them that I just love. What may start as feeling awkward and “this can’t possibly look good” starts to become second nature, and by the end of the shoot, my couples are creating their own candid moments with each other. Really! It’s quite remarkable!
Lauren and Jeff are obvious naturals in front of the camera. I’ll have to remember to ask them if that’s how they felt! Because if they didn’t, they had me fooled. Or, perhaps, what we’re seeing here is love and admiration that comes off so clearly in their pictures! I don’t doubt it! This coming July, we celebrate them not as fiancĂ© and fiancĂ©e, but as husband and wife at Hamilton Farm and I cannot wait!
