A Hallmark Christmas Movie Proposal

Now, I’m sure that’s not the angle Zach was going for, but tell me this isn’t the perfect Hallmark Christmas movie?! They deserve all copyrights! Yes, I’ve been watching these already, because there are only 36 days left until Christmas! And I think we need an extended holiday season, thank you very much 2020.

So, the story.

After attending four years of attending Mariya’s office holiday parties, Zach told Mariya that his office party was at a speakeasy in the West Village in New York. After getting all dressed up and arriving at said West Village speakeasy, where the “holiday party” was taking place, they walked in to find no one there but a photographer (not me, I would have been incognito, haha) and rose petals on the floor. From there, Zach popped the question!

While the West Village would have been the perfect place for their engagement session, they already had the experience! And when Mariya told me that they spent every summer in Maine, as does my family, we were thrilled to coordinate! On our way up to Camden, ME, where we stay every year with our family, we stopped in Wells to meet Mariya and Zach.

This farm that Mariya and Zach chose for their pictures was a perfect “Maine” backdrop! Also very Maine, were the bugs that hovered around us! And yes, they bite. Poor Mariya had welts all over her arms! They still managed to make this shoot look like they are models, when every 10 seconds, we were slapping at another bug bite! The moment of reprieve came when we made it to the beach! The bugs were gone and the breeze picked up! It was a wonderful moment!

We ended the session with lobster rolls on the beach and running back through the wooded paths to safety from the encroaching mosquitos! Mariya and Zach, your wedding day is going to be wonderful! I don’t think there are any bugs at the New York Botanical Gardens. I cannot wait!
