Spring Wedding at the Park Chateau

Kristen & Stephen are married! After a Christmas 2020 proposal, Love Actually style, queue cards and all, Kristen and Stephen decided to plan their wedding straight away! They decided on May 2021 when they contacted me in January. They decided they were getting married no matter what this spring looked like. They did tell me, however, they had a good feeling of how things would look come May, and I am so glad they were right!

The wedding day was perfect! Literally, the week of their wedding, the CDC lifted mask mandates and the weather decided it was time to break 70 degrees. Finally!

Kristen and her Mom, Ingrid, along with her good friend, Joyce, worked together to plan all the details in the span of four months. Kristen even had a separate ceremony gown! The color scheme of white orchids and pretty pink flower petals for the flower girl and ring bearer were so timeless and stunning! All of Kristen’s details were so well done, from her custom ring box to her Grandmother’s hair brush and mirror. What wonderful sentiments to have on your wedding day!

Kristen and Stephen decided to have a first look before their ceremony, and we photographed a majority of their portraits before the wedding. I love when couples give themselves that time to enjoy before the guests arrive! Stephen adores Kristen, so capturing moments of them looking at each other was quite simple!

While Stephen is the love of Kristen’s life, she does have another named Coco. Coco, the Yorkie, made an appearance for the ceremony, and the combination of toddlers and Yorkie in this wedding was an overload of adorable moments.

Cocktail hour was held all over the Park Chateau as guests enjoyed the most perfect day. Once the dancing started, it was all smiles and laughter, lots of fun dancing (so happy to see dancing again!) and sweet toasts given by Kristen’s brothers and Stephen’s best man. We ended the afternoon with a champagne tower and sparklers!
