A Central Park Elopement at the Plaza Hotel
Brie had told me she always wanted to elope. Apparently she’s been telling her parents that this was her dream, ever since high school! Personally, I love it. I think too often people don’t take teenagers seriously. Sure, I know more now than back when I knew everything as a teenager. But, there are some decisions I made as a teenager that were good decisions. Just because teens think they know everything, doesn’t mean nothing is right!
Brie and Travis both come from enormous families. So, naturally, they had their wedding all to themselves! After a year of being engaged, they decided it was time to tie the knot. Originally, Brie had grand plans to hop a plane and elope in Paris. When the pandemic made those plans more difficult, the second best option was to get ready at the Plaza, find a nice shade tree in Central Park and marry the love of her life. If you ask me, the pandemic is a perfect excuse to switch things up and have the wedding you dream of! There are no rules, no pressure to hold certain traditions. How do you want to start the rest of your lives?
We met Brie and Travis at the Plaza Hotel, and planned for them to see each other in the lobby. The Plaza opened the day before their elopement, so it was perfect timing. An additional perk – the hotel was empty! We had the entire lobby to ourselves. A hop, skip and a jump over to the park on 59th Street, and we picked a shade tree in front of one of the beautiful bridges for these two to exchange their vows. We traveled all over Central Park capturing them before saying our goodbyes and leaving them to enjoy dinner for two, as husband and wife.
Brieanne and Travis, we are so happy for you! Thank you for allowing us to capture this beautiful day for you! Congratulations!
