Caitlin and Matt love the fall, so planned their wedding for early November in hopes of getting as much fall foliage as possible. Their wedding last Friday did not disappoint! We started our day at Fiddler’s Elbow, where Caitlin and Matt got ready separately, so they could share their first look with each other as Caitlin walked down the aisle. Instead, Caitlin had the sweetest first look with her Dad, which was very emotional! Caitlin and Matt planned for their ceremony to take place at the same chapel at Seton Hall that Caitlin’s parents married in 35 years ago! Besides her first look with her Dad, the moments with Caitlin before the ceremony are some of my favorites. Dad helping her up the stairs of the chapel, holding her hands before going into the church, the bridesmaids peaking out of the vestibule before walking down the aisle. Once inside the church, it is dark and intimate. The ornate painting and stained glass lend some warmth to the chilly fall day, but also compliment the warm colors of the surrounding trees on Seton Hall’s campus.

Caitlin had very clear ideas of where she wanted her pictures on campus, a campus she knows very well since she attended college at Seton Hall as an undergraduate. The yellow leaves glowing in the afternoon sun are gorgeous! After a few pictures at Seton Hall, we piled back into the trolley and headed back to Fiddler’s Elbow. Before heading out, Matt’s brother, and Best Man toasted to the newlywed couple and we took off for Bedminster.

We arrived at Fiddler’s Elbow just as the sun dipped below the tree line. This is one of my favorite times of day! The light casts a golden glow over the rolling hills of the golf course, and really shows off! As the sun set, the guests entered the ballroom, which was festively decorated with golden leaves, candles, and plenty of burgundy florals along the long tables. Caitlin and Matt entered the ballroom and jumped right into their first dance. Halfway through the dance, snow showered down on the dance floor! This is a first for me and I have to say I absolutely loved it! The band played all night, the cigar roller was hand making cigars out on the patio and inside was not only an espresso bar, but a donut wall. I think this was the most exciting reception I’ve ever been to!
