A Summer Wedding at Hamilton Farm
When choosing a wedding venue, Hamilton Farm was a no brainer for Cori and Andrew. Cori has a love for horses, and Andrew a love for golf. When you combine those two passions, you get the United States Equestrain Team and Hamilton Farm Golf Club all in the same vicinity! To ensure we had a perfect blend of these beautiful locations, Cori made sure we had plenty of portrait time to travel to USET for epic pictures in front of Hamilton Farm’s historic barn, as well as bride and groom portraits around the mansion.
To start off our portraits, Cori and Andrew’s first look took place under the canopy tree right behind the mansion. Instead of reading their letters to each other early in the day, they saved their letters to read to each other. This was one of my favorite moments! From there, we took a parade of golf carts over to USET for portraits in front of the barn, and even snuck out onto the balcony. Fortunately, Cori kept hair and makeup along for the ride to make sure her wind-blown hair stayed tame for the windy journey.
Back in a lower room of the mansion, Cori and Andrew’s closest family and friends gathered for the intimate ceremony where they signed their Ketubah. I love this tradition of the Jewish faith. To have both an intimate ceremony and then a larger celebration under the Chuppah before all your wedding guests. To see grandparents holding hands, and siblings holding their loved ones, kids sitting on Mom’s lap as they witness the signing of the legal document that establishes the marriage. These are the memories that they will keep for a lifetime to reflect on years into their married life.
Cori and Andrew’s ceremony took place on the lower level of the Hamilton Farm grounds. Below the fountain, and down a few set of stairs is my favorite ceremony location. While it can be a bit tricky to maneuver guests to this area, the views are absolutely worth it. As the sun began to dip over the horizon, Cori, Andrew and all their guests were protected from the heat of the day and the summer sun. From there, the party continued into cocktail hour in the courtyard.
I just love when the timeline of the day follows a perfect sunset. Instead of having to worry about getting Cori and Andrew out of their reception for sunset portraits, we simply took those pictures as the guests were being escorted into reception. All their portraits were finished by the time they were introduced as husband and wife onto the dance floor for their first dance! We danced the night away, and ended our day with sparklers!
Cori and Andrew, we are so happy for you! What a beautiful wedding day for a beautiful couple! Thank you for making us a part of it!
